Following ‘F— ICE’ chants and then pinning MJF to earn a shot at the World Title on the February 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, Brody King was off AEW television this week.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that after this week’s episode after the show, those above Tony Khan at Warner Bros Discovery made the call to keep King off the show to avoid any possible repeated e ‘F— ICE’ chants.
WBD issued a statement to Fightful after the publication reached out for comment, debunking the report from Meltzer.
“Warner Bros. Discovery did not have any involvement in Brody King’s upcoming AEW schedule. Any speculation to the contrary is categorically false. Brody is scheduled to appear during the next AEW event, which will air this Saturday on TNT and HBO Max”
King is set to challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at Grand Slam Australia this Saturday, which will air on a tape delay from the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.
The event will air during the normal Collision timeslot of 8:00 pm ET on TNT and HBO Max.
