According to Fightful Select, the finish to the Women’s World Tag Team Title Match on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite was changed, due to a legitimate injury to Penelope Ford.

Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne (MegaBad), challenged the champions – Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale) for the titles. After Ford came off the top rope with a moonsault, she never returned to the match and was tended to by medical staff. AEW then cut to a commercial break. Soon after the commercial break, an audible was called for the changed finish, with Kross doing a run in with a title belt, hitting Willow Nightingale in the head causing the disqualification.

Fightful Select also notes they are working on trying to find out the original planned finish of the match and that the changed finish resulted in a few immediate adjustments that needed to be made.

We will provide any updates as they become available.
