We go to the arena with a hot crowd! Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Don Callis are on commentary. Callis was only on commentary for the opening match. No Chris Jericho on commentary this week.

AEW World Trios Championship Match: The Elite vs. Ethan Page, Matt Hardy & Isaiah Kassidy

The bell rings and here we go. Dayton is behind The Elite. Kassidy and Nick lock up and take each other down. Nick takes Kassidy down with an armbar. Nick tags in Matt and Matt comes back in and they double team Kassidy. Matt tags in Kenny Omega as the fans chant his name. Kassidy tags in Matt Hardy as both Omega and Matt lock up. Matt attempts a twist of fate, but Omega counters it. Omega attempts to hit Matt with a knee, but Matt moves out of the way. Matt goes to the outside as Omega follows. Ethan Page nails Omega and then is tagged in by Hardy. Page attempts to go after Omega, but he tags in Nick Jackson as the Young Bucks double team page and drive him to the mat. Kassidy comes in, but he is rocked by Matt Jackson. Page and Omega are on the outside. Nick Jackson leaps over the top and takes out Page on the outside. Back in the ring, Matt Hardy is yelled at in the ring by Page who had entered back into the ring. Page rolls out. Hardy hits Matt Jackson with a side effect and covers him, but Matt kicks out at two! Page demands he be tagged and Hardy tags him in. Page comes in and nails Matt with a spinebuster as we go to the break.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

*We have been having some inclement weather in my area. My internet has been running slow and my Sling feed has been a bit choppy tonight, which is due to the internet issues and weather conditions. My updates may be a bit delayed. I do apologize.*

Back from the break, Page levels Matt Jackson. Page tags in Matt Hardy who then smashes Matt’s head several times on the turnbuckle as the fans chant “delete.” Matt is on the second rope, but Page tags himself in and mimics Matt Hardy. Matt puts up the knees as Page comes down. Matt makes it to the corner to tag in Omega who picks up page and drops him and then follows up with a moonsault press. Omega covers page, but he kicks out at two! Page pushes Omega into the corner as Kassidy is tagged in. Matt Hardy, Kassidy and Page take out Omega. The Bucks come in and superkick Hardy, Kassidy and Page! Nick hits Matt Hardy with a senton as Kassidy hits Omega with a senton as the fans chant “HOLY S—!” Omega hits Page with a knee as an “This is Awesome” chant breaks out. Nick Jackson and Kassidy exchange blows. Kassidy comes back with several blows and Nick follows up with a kick. Kassidy then charges Nick who moves out of the way. Stokley Hathaway walks out from the backstage area to ringside. Kassidy hits Nick with a Canadian Destroyer who bounces back from it. Hardy hits Matt with a twist of fate as Kassidy then goes for the pin, but it’s broken up by Omega. Kassidy hits Nick Jackson with a cutter and covers him for the pin – 1, 2 NO! Nick kicks out! Omega is tagged in and hits Kassidy with the v-trigger from behind. Omega picks up Kassidy and drops him with the one winged angel and the Bucks follow up with the BTE trigger. Nick covers Kassidy to get the pin.

WINNERS AND STILL WORLD TRIOS CHAMPIONSHIPS: THE ELITE

We go to a backstage interview with Lexi Nair and Ricky Starks. Starks says he put his foot in his mouth from Wednesday night. He says that is what he has to do to get out of the web of Jericho he is in. He said it doesn’t matter and in El Paso it won’t matter who it is and that he will beat Jericho again.

Jerome’s thoughts: The show this week started off hot. Even though the outcome of the World Trios Title Match was predictable, the action was lots of fun. AEW did a good job of continuing the storyline with Matt Hardy and Ethan Page that should be a future match at a PPV. Don Callis was fun on commentary tonight.

Back from the break, we go to a video package with Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett, Sonjay Dutt and Satnam Sighn and then Best Friends and Orange Cassidy on their feud.

Swerve Strickland vs. Brian Pillman Jr. 

The bell rings and both men lock it up. Pillman has his wrist locked up by Swerve, who drives him to the mat. Swerve rolls Pillman back who gets to his feet. Both men lock up again as Swerve has Pillman in the corner. Pillman hits Swerve with an up kick. Swerve avoids Pillman and then clocks Pillman who comes back with a drop kick on Swerve and then another flying drop kick as Swerve goes through the ropes.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Back from the break, both men are exchanging blows to the chest. Swerve picks up Pillman but Pillman counters witha thrust kick on Swerve. Pillman then attempts to pick up Swerve, but Swerve gets out and kicks the inside of the knee of Pillman. Swerve nails Pillman in the face with kick. Swerve covers Pillman, but he kicks out at two! Both men are on the top rope, but Swerve gets caught and falls. The Mogul Affiliates interfere as Swerve picks up Pillman and drops with a death valley driver on the apron and follows up with a stomp to the sternum. The Mogul Affliates now come in and take out Pillman. As Swerve is getting ready to hit Pillman with a chain, Dustin Rhodes’s music hits and he runs down with a piece of a turnbuckle to make the save.

WINNER: SWERVE STRICKLAND

We go to a video package that House of Black doesn’t want Eddie Kingston and Eddie Kingston doesn’t want the House.

Toni Storm and Saraya vs. The Renegade Twins

Storm and Robyn start off. Both women lock up. Storm drags Robyn to the corner, but Robyn smacks Storm in the face. Storm comes back and takes down Robyn. Storm distracts the ref and Saraya nails Robyn with knees to the gut. On the outside, Saraya sends Robyn into the steel steps. Robyn rolls back in the ring. Storm tags in Saraya who takes down Robyn as the fans boo loudly. Saraya nails Robyn with elbow strikes and a knee strike. Saraya then nails Robyn with another knee. Saraya pushes Robyn to the corner as Storm is tagged in. Storm has Robyn locked up and down on the mat. Storm picks up Robyn and then slams her down and kicks her in the head. Robyn gets up as both women exchange blows. Robyn comes back with a kick on Storm. Charlette is tagged in and hits Storm with a splash in the corner, but Storm comes back and takes out Charlette with a hip attack in the corner. Storm hits Charlette with the Storm Zero for the win.

WINNERS: TONI STORM AND SARAYA

Post-Match Saraya and Storm have spray paint and spray paint L’s on both women as the fans boo.

Back from the break, Mark Henry introduces a video packages with Rush and Christopher Daniels for their match tonight.

Rush vs. Christopher Daniels

Rush is out with Jose the assistant and former Dark Member Preston Vance. The bell rings and here we go. The fans are behind Daniels. Both men attempt to lock up. Daniels gets control and locks up Rush. Daniels takes down Rush. Daniels attempts to lock up with Rush, but Rush comes back with an armbar. Daniels looks for a hip toss on Rush, but Rush counters. Daniels clubs Rush to the back of the head and covers Rush, but Rush kicks out at two.

-COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Back from the break, Rush is stomping on Daniels. Rush then kicks Daniels who rolls to the apron. Rush then pushes him to the outside. Vance then slaps Daniels and throws money in his face. Vance then nails Daniels again and rolls him back in the ring. Rush then tosses Daniels to the outside as Rush distracts the ref. Daniels comes back and tosses Jose into the ring post and gets back in the ring. Daniels comes back with an elbow to Rush and drops him with a sitdown powerbomb. Daniels comes back with elbows to the head on Rush, but Rush comes back and hits Daniels with thrust kicks. Daniels recovers and hits Rush with a death valley driver and covers Rush, but Rush kicks out at two. Vance distracts Daniels and Rush then rolls up Daniels, who kicks out at two. Daniels then comes back and plants Rush on the mat and climbs to the top rope for a best moonsault ever. Daniels comes down, but Rush gets the knees up. Daniels is in the corner and Rush then nails Daniels with the bulls horns and drags Daniels to the center of the ring and covers him for the pin. All three (Rush Vance and Jose) celebrate as the show comes to a close.

Jerome’s thoughts: Tonight’s show was better than last week. The main event wasn’t all that good. However, overall the action this week was fast paced and AEW did a good job in furthering storylines.
