Flamita/AAA Update
After Flamita made his AAA debut last month as “Fireball” he has not appeared for AAA since and will not be featured at this weekend’s “TripleMania.” The Wrestling Observer reports that he is returning to Dragon Gate for a month long tour but that he is still currently negotiating with AAA on a contract with the promotion. A few days after that report Konnan confirmed that Flamita had signed a contract with AAA and would be debuting full time for the company following his return from a month long tour of Dragon Gate.

Sombra Unsuspended, Niebla Suspended
This week CMLL suspended Mr. Niebla and unsuspended La Sombra. Niebla appeared very drunk during his match Monday in Arena Puebla and the other luchadors in his match were noticeably aggravated. He may be gone from CMLL completely, for about the 10th time. On the other hand Sombra has quietly been unsuspended though it seems Rush is still suspended after they fought with fans a couple of weeks ago.
CMLL Announces Anniversary Date, Then Changes It
Earlier this week CMLL announced that the date of their annual Anniversary Show would take place on September 4th from Arena Mexico, but after fan backlash over the date CMLL officially changed it to September 18th. It is very unlike CMLL to actually do something to make fans happy after backlash so it is more likely that someone realized that it would be much better to do the show on the 18th instead.
Dorada Not Returning Until 2016?
This week Mascara Dorada revealed to a fan that he would not be returning to Mexico until January of 2016 which would be unfortunate for CMLL and the fans as well. It was expected that Dorada would at the very least return for the Universal Champion Tournament later this year.

Mascara Purpura Coming to CHIKARA
This week CHIKARA announced that their star studded King of Trios weekend will get even more of an international flavor when luchador Mascara Purpura will take part in the annual Rey de Volador Tournament that will happen during the weekend. They also announced Matt Cross (aka Son of Havoc in Lucha Underground) for that same tournament. AAA’s Fenix, Aerostar, and Drago had already been announced for the King of the Trios Tournament which means any of the three may also take part in the Rey de Voladores Tournament as well. Purpura worked for CMLL a few years ago as well as IWRG and for Lucha Libre USA. As of late he has mainly worked for southwestern American Indy groups.
