WWE reportedly no longer scouting independent wrestlers for new talent signings

According to F4WOnline, that through several WWE sources, ”the word from the top is no more independent talent as far as scouting and such”, and that “AEW can have all the independent talent to itself.”

It is believed that this new philosophy change is the latest pivot i as NXT undergoes a complete revamp.

In an interview with Ariel Helwani of BT Sport, WWE President Nick Khan said the company doesn’t want to “just keep doing that same thing”, and to look felsewhere for great young talent.”

There was an open workout session during SummerSlam weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada that saw over a dozen new signees, most of which do not have professional wrestling experience.

WWE taped several weeks of NXT television earlier this month as they upgrade the Performance Center to be more TV-friendly that includes more lighting and more color.

WWE revealed the new logo for NXT during last night’s WWE SmackDown on FOX.
