MGM and WWE reportedly teaming up for a reboot of ‘American Gladiators’

According to a new report from Deadline, MGM has teamed up with WWE for a reimagined version of the non-scripted series that will feature a slew of WWE wrestling superstars.

It was also noted that Mark Burnett and his team are currently pitching the rebooted series, which is based on the format created by Johnny Ferraro and Dan Carr, to broadcasters and platforms.

‘American Gladiators’ originally premiered in 1989 ran for seven seasons.  There was a short revived version with WWE Hall of Famer in 2008 that ran 2 seasons with 21 episodes.
