Video: Keith Lee returns to WWE Raw using his “Bearcat” nickname

Keith Lee returns to WWE Raw as "Bearcat"

During Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, Keith Lee made his return to WWE television with the “Bearcat” nickname.

Lee came out and interrupted Akira Tozawa, who was in the ring and very upset that he failed to win the WWE 24/7 Championship from Reggie.

Lee has been working several dark matches and live event matches over the past several weeks. The “Bearcat” nickname was used before last Monday’s Raw in a dark match from Raleigh, North Carolina.

It is believed that Lee’s new nickname may be homage to Bearcat Wright, who was a professional wrestler in the 1960s. Wright is also a former WWA World Heavyweight Champion.

Below is an excerpt from Mike Tedesco’s Raw recap of Lee’s return.

Akira Tozawa is still in the ring. Tozawa demands a match with R-Truth or Drew Gulak. Tozawa doesn’t care who it is.

Keith “Bearcat” Lee answers the challenge.

Lee is in a new outfit for this character change. Lee clotheslines him down to start the match and avalanches him in the corner. Lee wildly throws him across the ring and hits the Big Bang Catastrophe for the win.

WWE posted a highlight video to their YouTube Channel, which you can watch below, with Lee’s return to Raw using the “Bearcat” nickname.
