Scott Garland, also known as WWE Tag Team Champion Scotty 2 Hotty, has announced he is leaving the company.
Garland made the announcement Tuesday on Instagram. He also noted that he asked for his release from WWE.
Garland has worked as an NXT Coach and Producer since September 2016. He worked for WWE from 1997 to 2007 as Scotty 2 Hotty. After leaving WWE in 2007, he did make a few special appearances. He then worked on the independent scene, and also trained to become a firefighter.
In September of 2016, he signed with WWE to be trainer/producer at the Performance Center.
