WWE Hall of Famer reportedly had past talks with AEW that included a pitch for a program with Britt Baker, according to Fightful Select and F4WOnline.
The reports noted that AEW and Lita had discussions back in 2019. However, both sides were not able to come to terms on an agreement.
Furthermore, the reports stated that the talks said there was a pitch as recently as last year for Lita to be in a program with Baker that would have taken place around last September’s All Out pay-per-view.
After being done with WWE in 2006, and one independent show in 2007, Lita stayed away from in-ring action until she returned on the 1000th episode of Monday Night Raw for a match with Heath Slater.
Lita then stepped away from in-ring action for another five years, then had a match in 2017 on the independent scene. She then returned to the WWE in 2018 and made appearances in the Royal Rumble and all-women’s Evolution pay-per-view.
Lita made an appearance on Friday’s episode of SmackDown for the first time in nearly 20 years. She took out SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair with a Twist of Fate after Flair had interrupted her in-ring promo.
