Cody Rhodes working on a documentary for Peacock, discusses surgery for torn pec

Cody Rhodes appeared on Friday’s Busted Open Radio to help celebrate Dave LaGreca’s birthday. He discussed the surgery he had for his torn pec. He also gave an update on what his doctors told him regarding his return to the ring.

Rhodes said the following:

“[My doctors] are not gonna give me a timeline just yet for when I’m gonna be back because they are afraid if they give me that timeline, I’m gonna try and jump it by maybe a month or two. I almost hemorrhaged in the surgery because there was so much blood.”

Rhodes did go on to say that he does know when he will be cleared for a return to the ring because his doctors don’t want to give him a timeline and have it be incorrect.

He also said during the interview that WWE has been working on doing a documentary on him potentially for Peacock. Rhodes said that Dave LaGreca is on the list of people being interviewed for the documentary. LaGreca is the creator and lead host of Busted Open on SiriusXM Fight Nation.

Rhodes has been out of action since the fallout episode of Hell in a Cell due to a torn pec. The injury can take up to one year heal. WWE has indicated that Cody could be out for 9 months. There has been speculation that WWE has padded the timeline of Cody being out, as he would be back as a surprise at the Royal Rumble. but Rhodes says that he does not know when he will be cleared because his doctors don’t want to tell him yet.
