STAMFORD, Conn., July 22, 2022 – WWE today announced that effective immediately, Paul Levesque will resume his executive position as EVP, Talent Relations.

“I look forward to returning to my prior position as head of Talent Relations. I’m healthy, fired up, and ready to take charge,” said Levesque.

Bruce Prichard had been named as the interim head of talent relations in June after John Laurinaitis was placed on administrative leave by the WWE Board of Directors as part of their investigation into alleged misconduct committed by Laurinaitis and Vince McMahon.

Levesque had announced last that he was “back.” He did not elaborate at the time what that meant. However, he did indicate he was there for business purposes, but could not disclose at the time as to why.

Levesque suffered a health scare back in 2021 following a ‘cardiac event’ caused by a genetic heart issue. He announced his full retirement from in-ring action this past March.

Levesque’s wife Stephanie McMahon was named last month as WWE’s interim CEO and chairwoman while the Board of Directors’ investigates her father for the alleged misconduct. Vince McMahon is still fully in charge of the creative side for WWE, even though he stepped away from his CEO and chairman duties.
