Weather outlook for Nashville this Saturday could put a big damper on SummerSlam

This Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam premium live event that is being held at the roofless Nissan Stadium could either get very wet at the very least.

As of this writing, there is no word from WWE if their biggest show for the summer could possibly be delayed or postponed. The company has not even mentioned this weekend’s weather outlook for Nashville, or what the back-up plan is should Saturday become very stormy as predicted.

According to WKRN News 2 in Nashville, this weekend’s weather forecast has a 60 percent chance of scattered storms along with thunder and lightening on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and into Monday. High’s are expected to be in the low 80’s. WKRN also notes the biggest threats will be heavy rain, gusty winds, and hail on Friday, with more widespread rain and storms into the weekend.

Per Wrestletix, as of July 27, WWE has sold 34,466 tickets. The company has a set up at Nissan Stadium for SummerSlam with a maximum capacity of 37,752 fans.

Thank you to Wrestleview reader Andrew Elder, who plans on attending SummerSlam for passing along the weather information.
