AEW and ROH News: Two stars injured; Death Before Dishonor PPV buys and ticket sales

Dante Martin reportedly hurt his knee during Wednesday’s match with Sammy Guevara on AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen.

As first reported by PWInsider, then F4WOnline, after Martin and Guevara had their match, Martin was said to have been seen on crutches both backstage afterward and at the hotel. As of now, the severity of the injury and how long Martin will be out of action is unknown.

Martin was favoring his right knee and leg at several times during the match, but was still able to hit his usual big spots, including an attempt at his Nosedive finisher. Guevara won the match after he hit the GTH on Martin.

One half of the ROH Tag Team Champions is also injured.

F4WOnline reports that Dax Harwood has a torn labrum and FTR’s match against The Briscoes at Death Before Dishonor only made it worse. 

Harwood took to Twitter the day after Death Before Dishonor, posting a picture of himself with a swollen eye. He also noted that he had a stiff neck, f—– up shoulder.

ROH Death Before Dishonor PPV Buys

According to F4WOnline, the Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view brought in 36, 100 buys. It was noted that 27,000 of the buys came from streaming while 9,100 buys were through traditional pay-per-view orders through cable providers. The show was not available through HonorClub.

The report also notes that the PPV drew 3,100 fans at to the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts, which is the promotion’s fourth-largest crowd in history. It was further stated that out the the 3,100 tickets – 2,900 were paid and 200 were complimentary.
