Former NXT Superstar Johnny Gargano made his return to WWE, as he appeared on Raw Monday, live from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. After his promo, he had a confrontation with Theory in the ring. Gargano last appeared on the fallout show for NXT WarGames, which was held on December 7, 2021. His NXT contract expired officially expired on December 10, 2021, as at that time he chose not to renew his contract.
