Tony Khan: Talent attendance voluntary for Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite and Rampage taping due to Hurricane Ian

Tony Khan took to Twitter on Monday that AEW talent affected by Hurricane Ian will not be required to travel to this week’s Dynamite and Rampage TV taping in Philadelphia, PA.

Several media outlets have reported Ian is currently at Category 2 Hurricane status and is forcing mandatory evacuations in Western Florida, including the Tampa area, where some AEW talent have their place of residency. Ian is expected to hit major hurricane status, with winds up to 111 miles per hour or higher, before it makes it to the United States.

As of Monday, it is being reported by all major media news outlets that more than 15 million people in the United States will encounter at least tropical storm-force winds from Ian, that includes residents of Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee, Florida among those who will be affected.

The Tampa area is currently under a hurricane warning, with impact from the storm expected to hit sometime within the next 24 to 36 hours.

As of this writing, the current lineup for Wednesday is as follows:

-AEW World Title Eliminator match: AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. Juice Robinson

-ROH World Championship Match: Chris Jericho defends against Bandido

-Saraya to speak

-MJF to speak
