Former WWE Tough Enough winner Sara Lee passes away

WWE issued the following statement on the passing of Sara Lee:

Wrestleview is sad to have learned former WWE Tough Enough winner Sara Lee (Sara Weston) has passed away at 30 years old.

Lee’s passing was announced in a Facebook post by Lee’s mother, Terri on Thursday. A cause of death was not disclosed.

“It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus. We are all in shock and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn. We all need prayers especially Cory and her children.”

In 2015, Lee was voted the female winner of Tough Enough. As one of the two winners of she earned a $250,000 WWE contract and joined the WWE Performance Center. She departed the company in 2016.

Lee was married to former WWE Superstar Wesley Blake (Cory Weston). The couple had three children together.

A GoFundMe campaign organized by former NXT Superstar Bull James has been launched to help assist the family financially.
