IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Championship Match: Mike Bailey (c) defends against Frankie Kazarian

Both men shake hands. Both men lockup in the corner with a clean break. Bailey does an arm drag toss. Kazarian rolls up Bailey but only gets a two count. Bailey takes down Kazarian with a huge drop kick, who then kicks up and hits Bailey with a drop kick of his own and then attempts the chicken wing, but Bailey gets out. Kazarian goes to the floor and Bailey hits Kazarian with a huge Moonsault. Both men are back in the ring. Bailey chops Kazarian in the corner. Bailey is sitting on the top rope. Kazarian pushes him over the rope and onto the floor. Both men are on the outside. Kazarian hits Bailey with chops and then rolls him back in the ring. Kazarian goes for the pin, but only gets a two count. Kazarian has Bailey tied up. Bailey attempts to get out of it successfully with kicks to the neck on Kazarian. Bailey is up on the shoulders of Kazarian and rolls him down for just a two count. Bailey comes back with a huge drop kick. Bailey hits Kazarian with several kicks. Bailey hits a twisting shooting star on Kazarian and goes for the pin, but only gets the two count. Kazarian hits Bailey with a Back to the Future, goes for the pin, but only gets the two count. Both men exchange kicks and are down as the ref begins the ten count.

The ground begins to chant this is awesome. Both men are up. Bailey grabs Kazarian and takes him down for the pin, but only gets a two count. Bailey hits Kazarian with a flip and hits Kazarian in the ribs with his knees. Bailey then goes to the top rope and hits the ultimo weapon on Kararian from the top rope. Bailey goes for the three count, but only gets a two. Kazarian has Bailey in the chicken wing. Bailey has Kazarian up and then takes himself and Kazarian out to the floor. Kazarian still on the outside, but Bailey is back in the ring. Kazarian comes back in and hits Bailey with a huge cutter. Kazarian goes for the pin, but only gets a two. Both men are on the top rope. Kazarian drops Bailey from the top rope with a flux capacitor. Kazarian goes for the three count, but only gets the two. Kazarian dumps Bailey, goes for the pin, but only gets a one count. Bailey then drops Kazarian and goes to the top rope and attempts an ultimo weapon and Kazarian hits a huge cutter and has Bailey in the chicken wing – Bailey gives up and we have a NEW X-DIVISION CHAMPION!

WINNER AND NEW X-DIVISION CHAMPION: FRANKIE KAZARIAN

Jerome’s thoughts: This was a great opener. The title change was a surprise. The building is full and the crowd is hot! The near falls were awesome. The action kept me on the edge of my seat.

We go backstage with Gia Miller interviewing Mickie James. If Mickie loses, she retires.

Mickie James vs. Mia Yim – if Mickie loses she will retire

Both women lockup. Mickie and Yim lockup on the mat. Both women get back up and lockup yet again. Arm drag take down by Mickie. Both women lock up yet again. Mickie takes down Mia and attempts a pin, but only gets a one count. Both women are down on the mat again. Both women are up and Mickie takes down Mia and has her in a headlock on the mat. Both women are back up again. (THIS MATCH HAS BEEN A LOT OF MAT WRESTLING SO FAR). Mickie hits Yim with a back elbow. Mickie is down in the corner. Mia went for a bulldog, but Mickie came down awkward. Mia is now working on Mickie’s bad knee. Mickie is not putting weight on the knee. Mickie is able to hit a neck breaker on Mia. Mickie slaps Mia as both women exchange blows. Mia kicks Mickie in the bad knee and comes back. Mickie plants Mia, but is still favoring her knee as she gets up. Mia picks up Mickie and hits her with a buckle bomb, followed by a cannonball. Mia goes for the pin, but only gets a two count.

Both women are up on the top rope. Mickie kisses Yim in the lips and Yim falls back. Mickie comes down on Mia and goes for the three count, but only gets a two count. Mia hits Mickie with a German Suplex and attempts a pin, but Mickie kicks out at two as the fans begin to chant Mickie. Mia grabs Mickie and tells her she is sorry and hits Mickie with a knee to the throat. Mia goes for the pin, but Mickie grans the bottom rope. Mickie hits Mia with the Mick DDT and gets the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: MICKIE JAMES

Jerome’s thoughts: This match had a slow start. The fans were into it once it got going. Mia and Mickie hug on the mat as the fans show their applause. When Mickie was pinning Mia, you could see she whispered something in her ear. Mia’s contract is said to be up, so it remains to be seen if this is the exit for Mia, or if Mia signs a new deal.

IMPACT Knockouts Tag Team Championship Match: VXT (Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green) (c) defends against Death Dolls (Jessicka and Taya Valkyrie)

Jessicka and Green start with trash talking. Jessicka launches Green into the corner. Both Jessicka and Valkyrie double team Green, who is able to tag in Purrazzo. She cheap shots Valkyrie, who then is tagged in. Valkyrie knocks down Purrazzo and goes for the pin, but only gets the two count. Valkyrie slaps Purrazzo. Valkyrie is hit by Green as she goes against the rope. Purrazzo and Green are tagging frequently and double teaming Valkyrie. They hit a suplex on Valkyrie. Purrazzo goes for the three count, but only gets a two. Purrazzo tags in Green. Valkyrie tags in Jessicka, but the ref didn’t see as Purrazzo served as a distraction. Green and Purrazzo are double teaming Valkyrie, who is able to fight off both women and get to her corner to tag in Jessicka. Jessicka hits Green with jabs and then an elbow to the head. Jessicka takes down both of the VXT and goes for the pin, but both women kick out. Purrazzo pushes Jessicka to the corner. Green tags in. Purrazzo comes in and now all four women are in the ring. Green hits Valkyrie with a pump kick. Jessicka comes back with a sick driver on Green. Jessicka goes for the pin and gets the win.

WINNERS AND NEW IMPACT WORLD WOMEN’S TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: DEATH DOLLS

Jerome’s thoughts: This match was so-so. The fans are really into the show. I did not expect the title change, but this is the company’s biggest show of the year, so I am sure they are trying to make a splash.

The show is flowing really well so far.

IMPACT Wrestling World Tag Team Championship Match: The Kingdom (Mike Bennett and Matt Taven) (c) defends against The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin)

Taven takes an early advantage and takes a shot at Shelley and Sabin. Taven and Shelley are in the ring. Taven takes down Shelley, but Shelley counters and kicks Taven in the back. Shelley tags in Sabin. Taven is able to tag in Bennett. Sabin hits a cross body on Bennett and has Bennett in an armbar. Both men are in the corner. Clean break by Bennett. Sabin then takes down Bennett and has Bennett back in an armbar. Bennett tagged in Taven, but Sabin did not see it. Sabin tags in Shelley as both men double team Taven with a kick to the left arm by Shelley. The crowd is hot for this match. Sabin snaps Taven’s elbow and then takes him down and goes for the pin, but only gets a two count. Sabin has Taven down with an armbar. Sabin tags in Shelley as both men double team Taven who goes down. Shelley goes for a three count, but only gets a two. Taven is trying to tag, but can’t. Bennett gets involved as Maria distracts the ref. Shelley takes out both men and Bennett goes to the outside. Bennett from the outside trips up Shelley, then Taven attempts a pin, but only get the two count. The Kingdom are working on Shelley from the floor. They toss Shelley back in and Bennett gets tagged in. Bennett has Shelley down with an arm wrench. Shelley gets to the ropes to break the hold. Taven and Bennett double team Shelley. Bennett hits Shelley in the sternum and goes for the pin, but Shelley kicks out at two. Shelley is the corner of the Kingdom and gets a kick to the face and then an elbow. Shelley kicks out at two as Bennett went for a two. Shelley is able to tag in Sabin who takes out both Bennett and Taven. Bennett took down Taven by accident. Sabin hits a DDT on Taven and goes for a pin, but only gets a two.

The Kingdom are on the floor and get taken out by Sabin who leaps on them to the floor. Both Sabin and Shelley are double teaming Taven. Shelley hits a drop kick on Taven from the top rope. Sabin goes for the pin, but only gets a two. The Kingdom find an opening and take out Sabin. Taven hits a knee strike on Sabin and goes for the three, but only gets a two. The crowd starts to chant this is awesome. Sabin counters a piledriver, but ends up getting a spike pile driver. Shelley breaks up the three count. Sabin hits Bennett with a cutter. Taven is able to kick out of a cutter by Sabin. Maria grabs Sabin’s leg as the ref is distracted. Taven is caught in the rope as Bennett and Sabin exchange chops. Shelley hits a drop kick to the face of Taven. Sabin then hits a drop kick. Maria is trying to cause a distraction and Bennett ended up drop kicking Maria. Taven then puts his feet on the top rope to get the pin on Sabin.

WINNERS AND STILL IMPACT WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: THE KINGDOM

Jerome’s thoughts: The crowd was in this match. The near falls and the action was really good. The right team went over.

Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match

Eric Young and Joe Hendry. As Hendry poses to the crowd, Young hits Hendry from behind. Young takes down Hendry with an elbow. Young hits Hendry with elbows to the back of the neck. Hendry comes back and picks up Young with a stalling suplex and drops him. Young is the corner and thumbs Hendry to the eyes. Young works on the eyes. Steve Maclin comes out next and goes right after Hendry. Young is down on the mat. Maclin and Young are in a stare down and Hendry is down. Both Young and Maclin are double teaming Hendry. Rich Swann comes out next. Swann comes in and does a double cutter on Young and Maclin. PCO comes out next with Vincent. Young and Maclin double team PCO. PCO gets up and double clotheslines Maclin and Young. PCO drops Hendry and hits him with punches. Savannah Evans is out next. PCO is on the top rope and hits a huge leg drop on Hendry. Savannah Evans and PCO have each other locked up. Maclin breaks it up. Johnny Swinger is out next. The action in this match is typical crazy IMPACT Wrestling. It is all over the place as more competitors come in to the match. Tasha Steelz is out next. Steelz hits a cutter on Maclin. Evans and Steelz double team Swinger. Killer Kelly is out next who comes in and takes out mostly everyone. Evans and Kelly exchange blows. Steelz takes out Kelly and Evans over the top rope to eliminate them. Moose is out next. Moose tosses out Hendry and he is eliminated. Moose takes out PCO and eliminated. Sami Callihan comes out next. Callihan goes after Mooses but takes a bow first and tosses his hat into the hot crowd.

Moose and Callihan are working each other in the corner. Taylor Wilde comes out next. Wilde takes out Swann and Maclin. The fans are going nuts! Wilde then takes out Steelz. Gisele Shaw is out next. A man in a yellow hoody jumps the guardrail as security tries to take them out. There are now three men in yellow hoodies. Deaner ends up coming in as one of the men in the yellow hoodies. Out next is Bully Ray and the crowd goes nuts. Steelz and Bully Ray exchange blows. Ray picks up Steelz and tosses her over the top rope. Tommy Dreamer. Bully Ray and Dreamer go face to face. Moose and Ray do double elbows on Maclin and Moose and then hug. Rhino comes out next as the fans go wild for as the fans chant ECW. Swinger comes in and tries to join Rhino, Ray and Dreamer. He is then eliminated by the ECW originals. Heath is out next. Rhino hits Maclin with a gore. Bobby Fish comes out next to a good ovation. Fish takes out Moose and Swann. Fish hits Ray with knees in the corner. Matt Cardona is out next. Cardona is not going in the ring yet. Rhino is eliminated by Moose. Maclin eliminates Heath and Moose. Cardona finally enters the ring and goes after Bully Ray. Cardona offers a handshake to Bully who picks him up and drops him. Taylor Wilde from the top drops on Maclin between the legs. Bully Ray and Wilde yell get the tables. Cardona eliminates Shaw and Wilde. Cardona then is eliminated. Bobby Fish is working on Maclin the corner.

Bully Ray hits a huge chop on Fish in the corner. Fish is working on Ray. Swann and Young are the apron. Young is eliminated by Rich Swann. Young lasted 26 minutes. Fish and Swann are working on Ray with punches and kicks. Maclin breaks it and then eliminates Swann. Fish is hitting Maclin with punches. Maclin then comes back and tosses Fish over the rope and eliminates him. Maclin and Ray are left. they trash talk and exchange blows and chops. Maclin picks up Ray and slams him down. Maclin goes for a pin, but only gets two count. Maclin attempts a knee on Ray who moves out of the way and then picks up Maclin and drops Maclin for the win.

WINNER BY PINFALL: BULLY RAY

Jerome’s thoughts: This match was fun. I didn’t expect Bully Ray to win until the end, but was hoping Maclin would go over, but he is really isn’t championship material. I didn’t think Maclin was going to go over.

We go backstage with Eddie and Alisha Edwards and their kids. Edwards vows to win. He says if he doesn’t win, he and Alisha are done.

IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Championship Match: Jordynne Grace (c) defends against Masha Slamovich

David Penzer makes the introductions in the ring. Grace has a different look.

Both women rush each other after the bell rings. Grace tosses Slamovich out of the ring and onto the floor. Grace is very aggressive so far. She goes for a pin, but only gets a two count. Both women are on the outside apron. Slamovich has Grace up and drops her down on her head. Back in the ring, Slamovich is working on the head and neck of Grace. Slamovich attempts a pin, but only gets the two count. Slamovich again tries for a pin, but only gets a two count. Slamovich hits Grace in the spin as Grace drops down. Slamovich then drives her foot into the chest of Grace. Slamovich hits Grace with a spin kick to the face. Grace comes back with spinbuster on Slamovich. Both women are back up exchanging chops as the fans go crazy.

Both women are down, but then get back up and exchange chops again. Both women hit each other with big fists and down they go. The ref begins the ten count. Both women get up and Grace hits Slamovich with a powerslam. As Slamovich gets up, Grace picks her up and drops her down. Grace does for a three, but Slamovich kicks out. Slamovich hits Grace with a Canadian Destroyer. Slamovich covers her, but Grace kicks out. Grace has Slamovich up and drops her down with a jackhammer. Grace goes for the win, but doesn’t get the three count. Grace has Slamovich on the top rope. Grace went for a muscle buster, but Slamovich countered and has Grace in a choke hold submission move. Grace is starting to fade as Slamovich has the hold. Grace is able to get to her feet to get to the rope. Slamovich comes back with a German Suplex and goes for the pin, but comes up short. Grace comes back and drops Slamovich on her neck and covers her, but Slamovich kicks out as fans chant this is awesome. Grace is up and Slamovich is down. Grace starts slapping Slamovich in the face and then hits her with boots to the face. Grace hits Slamovich with a Grace driver. Grace goes for the pin, but NO! Slamovich barely kicks out for only a two count!

Grace picks up Slammovich but she counters. Grace slaps Slamovich and then Slamovich comes back with a snowplow, but Grace’s foot is under the bottom rope as the ref catches it for no three count. Both women are up on the top rope. Grace drops Slamovich off the second rope with a Grace driver! Grace covers Slamovich and gets the win.

WINNER AND STILL IMPACT KNOCKOUTS CHAMPION: JORDYNNE GRACE

Jerome’s thoughts: The near falls for this match were insane. Both women worked hard. I have said it before and I will say it again – IMPACT Wrestling has the best women’s wrestling out of all the major companies – WWE and AEW.

IMPACT World Championship Match: Josh Alexander defends against Eddie Edwards

David Penzer does the introductions in the ring. Both Edwards and Alexanders families are shown at ringside.

The bell rings and here we go. Both men lock up and run into the ropes. The ref calls for the break and its clean. Both men lock up again and get a clean break. Edwards hits Alexander with a chop. Alexander comes back with and drops Edwards and gets him in a headlock. Both men trash talk each. Edwards hits Alexander and dumps him outside the ring. Alexander gets back in the ring as Edwards rolls out. The ref begins the count. Fans trash talk the fans at ringside. Edwards finally gets back in the ring. Alexander has Edwards in an armbar as Edwards is down. Edwards gets out and drives Alexander to the floor. The ref begins the ten count. Edwards then hits a slingshot crossbody across Alexander onto the floor. Both men are on the outside and Edwards hits Alexander with chops. Alexander comes back with a crossbody onto Edwards as both men continue the fight on the outside as the ref starts to count to ten. Alexander tosses Edwards back into the ring.

Alexander chops Edwards who comes back and hits an overhead belly to belly on Alexander. Edwards has Alexander in the corner and hits him with chops as you can see the sweat flying off Alexander! Edwards tosses Alexander to the floor and then dives onto Alexander. Edwards pulls back the protective floor mat exposing the wood. As Alexander is back on his feet, Edwards chops Alexander. Edwards attempted to drop Alexander on the exposed wood floor, but Alexander counters. Alexander gets back in the ring and dives out onto Edwards who was still on the outside. Both men are back in the ring. Edwards rolls to the apron. Alexander is attempting to drop Edwards on the exposed wood from the apron, but Edwards counters. Edwards hits a switch kick on Alexander and then picks him up and drops him to the exposed floor! The crowds begins to chant Holy S—!. Edwards rolls back into the ring and then at the count of five rolls back to the outside and tosses Alexander back in the ring. Edwards goes for pin, but only gets a two count as Alexander kicks out! Edwards has Alexander in the corner and hits him with chops. Alexander is on the top rope as Edwards drops Alexander with a backpack stunner and puts him a Boston Crab! Alexander is able to get to the bottom rope to break the hold. Edwards attempts a tiger driver, but Alexander counters with a running slam on Edwards who hits his head on the bottom turnbuckle.

Both men are up. Edwards hits Alexander with elbows. Alexander hits Edwards with German Suplexes. Edwards rolls out as Alexander holds on and German Suplexes Edwards on the floor and the entrance ramp! The crowd goes crazy! Both men are still on the outside as the ref counts. Alexander tosses Edwards back in the ring. Alexander picks up Edwards and delivers a huge backbreaker! Alexander goes for the pin, but NO! Edwards kicks out! Alexander kicks Edwards, but Edwards comes back with a blue thunder bomb and covers Alexander, but only gets a two! Alexander picks up Edwards and nails a styles clash! Alexander then has an ankle lock on Edwards, but Edwards counters and tosses Alexander to the floor. Alexander climbs to the top, but Edwards kicks Alexander in the side of the head. Edwards hits some crazy chops on Alexander. Both men are on the top and Edwards drops Alexander. Alexander comes back and hits a C-4 Spike on Alexander, who goes for pin, but Taven pulls out the ref. Kenny King is in the ring and low blows Alexander.The ref goes down. Security kicks out Honor No More. Edwards hits a Boston knee party on Alexander and the second official make the count, but Alexander kicks out! Alexander has an ankle lock on Edwards, but Edwards hits a tiger driver on Alexander and goes for the win, but NO! Alexander kicks out.

Alexander is gushing blood from the nose after a knee to the face by Edwards. Both men exchange blows as Alexander is bleeding like crazy. Alexander is down to one knee as Edwards spits in the face of Alexander. Edwards hits a knee on the nose of Alexander. Alexander comes back and hits a C-4 Spike on Edwards and gets the three count!

post match Honor No More comes out and takes out Alexander. Rich Swann comes out but the numbers are too much. Honor No More gets a table and sets it up. They pick up Alexander, but Bully Ray’s music hits and he comes down to the ring his Call Your Shot Trophy. Honor No More clears a path and hands the trophy to the referee. He laughs at Alexander as Alexander trash talks him. Bully Ray then turns on Honor No More clears house with Alexander. Ray has the World Title and tells Alexander and he will have to step his game up and asks him if he knows who he is and tells Alexander to take his championship as both men stare down each other. The show goes off the air. The show then comes back on the air with Taven in the ring. Alexander and Ray pick up Taven and slam him through the table, then the show goes off the air a second time.

Jerome’s thoughts: This wasn’t a bad pay-per-view. However, it wasn’t the best either. The crowd was hot all night and the action was still top notch for IMPACT. They just didn’t deliver for what was supposed to be their biggest show of the year. Slammiversary back in June was the better of the two shows.
