Newsworthy notes from WWE SmackDown (“White Rabbit”; Former star possibly returning and more!)

WWE did another “White Rabbit” teaser during SmackDown. The video, which is below, has the following description on WWE’s YouTube Channel.

Feed your head with the possibility that the mystery of the white rabbit finally be solved on Saturday at Extreme Rules.

LA Knight Returns

The LA Knight character is back, officially ending the Max Dupri gimmick.

During Friday’s SmackDown the Maximum Male Models were laid out, with Knight standing over them with a chair. Maxxine Dupri then confronted Knight, calling him Max. Knight said to her that was not his name and referred to himself as LA Knight. A match between Knight and mansoor was later announced for next Friday night’s SmackDown.

Sarah Logan returning?

A Viking vignette aired on Friday’s WWE SmackDown. According to several sources, this is signally the return of Sarah Logan to the company.  

Logan was with WWE from 2017 to 2020. She was released by the company on April 15, 2020. She announced is June of that same year that she would be stepping away from wrestling for the foreseeable future. She is married to Erik of the Viking Raiders.

Logan has made two recent appearances for WWE. She took part in the 2022 Women’s Royal Rumble Match, and then was part of the Viking funeral segment with The Viking Raiders on the August 19, 2022 episode of SmackDown.

Legado Del Fantasma debuts on SmackDown, Zelina Vega returns

The Legado Del Fantasma trio consisting of Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, and Cruz Del Toro made their SmackDown debut on Friday night’s show. They attacked Hit Row.

Legado Del Fantasma was formed in the summer of 2020 on NXT, with Escobar, Wilde, and Del Toro. Elektra Lopez was added to the group in August of last year. However, she will not be part of the group going forward and has been replaced by the returning Zelina Vega, who was out of action for six-months due to requiring surgery for an injury. She last wrested on the April 11 episode of Raw.

On the August 16 Heatwave episode of NXT, Escobar lost a match to Tony D’Angelo. The stipulation was that Escobar would leave NXT if he lost to D’Angelo. The following week, Escobar invited the rest of the group to leave with him, telling them he was not going to leave any of them behind.
