“Hangman” Page injured during title match on AEW Dynamite, stretchered out

“Hangman” Adam Page was injured during the AEW World Title Match with Jon Moxley on Tuesday’s special episode of Dynamite. Page had to be stretchered to the back.

With about ten minutes of TV time remaining, Moxley hit Page with a massive lariat. Page then hit the mat face first. The referee went to check on Page and immediately signaled for AEW doctor Michael Sampson. The match was then stopped and Moxley was declared the winner.

The TV cameras focused tightly on Moxley as the commentary team tried to figure out what to do and say next as the fans were silent. A stretcher was brought out and the bottom rope had to be loosened in order to remove Page from the ring. None of this was shown on TV.

On camera, both Taz and Tony Schiavone were shown to be visibly shaken.

Excalibur ran down the lineup for Friday’s live Rampage and next Wednesday’s Dynamite. They then cut to the ring where Moxley said he wished Page the best of luck and hopes he recovers fully in order to perform in the ring and to hold his child again.

According to PWInsider, it is believed Page may have suffered a concussion, but this has not been confirmed.  Page was checked out backstage by AEW medical staff and then taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Moxley the said since they had some time TV time left, he wanted MJF to come out. MJF’s music hit and he came out with a referee and teased the cashing in of his Casino ladder match chip. MJF then left and told Moxley that he wants him at 100% and challenged him to a title match at Full Gear.

As of this report, AEW nor Tony Khan has commented on the status of Adam Page.
