Former NXT and AEW star is 1-0 as a professional boxer

Bobby Fish is 1-0 as a professional boxer.

In his professional boxing debut, the former NXT and AEW star defeated Boateng Prempeh in the second round by TKO, due to Prempeh suffering an apparent shoulder injury. Fish’s win was on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Deji Olatunji exhibition, that took place at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Saturday.

In the clip below, posted to Twitter from the Global Titan Fight Series, it is not exactly clear as to how Prempeh injured his shoulder. However, after he took a glancing blow from Fish, he dropped to a knee and the fight was called by the referee. Prempeh is now 2-4.

The 46-year-old Fish is currently a free agent after his AEW contract expired back on August 31. Fish and Tony Khan were unable to come to terms a new deal.

Fish made his IMPACT Wrestling debut at the September’s Victory Road PPV. He then took part in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match at Bound for Glory on October 8. Fish then went on to challenge Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Championship. Fish was unsuccessful in capturing the title.
