Darby Allin will challenge Samoa Joe for the TNT Championship on next week’s AEW Dynamite live from the Climate Pledge Arena, in Allin’s hometown of Seattle, WA.
Allin and Joe were involved in an angle at the end of Wednesday’s Holiday Bash episode of Dynamite, with Allin nailing Joe from behind with his skateboard. Joe had attacked Wardlow and cut-off his man bun after he defeated Wardlow to retain the TNT Title. Joe fled the ring without the TNT Title. Allin held up the TNT Title as the show went off the air,
Allin is the longest reigning TNT Champion in AEW history at 186 days. The only other match announced for next Wednesday’s show is Chris Jericho vs. Ricky Starks. More matches for next week’s Dynamite will be announced during Friday night’s episode of Rampage on TNT.
Next week’s Dynamite will also be the kickoff to the new look and feel for AEW television programming that includes Rampage.
