Eddie Kingston has “quit” AEW in an angle aired on AEW’s Twitter account Wednesday night.
Following Wednesday’s Dynamite, AEW posted a promo by Kingston where he announced that he has “quit the company.” Kingston’s promo came after he and Ortiz did not take part as advertised in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match on Dynamite. The commentary team announced during the ladder match that Kingston and Ortiz had been involved in a backstage fight which had to be separated by referees.
It is being said that the angle appears to be a way to way for Kingston to move to the ROH roster. He appeared at both of the recent ROH TV tapings in Orlando. Kingston appears to be Claudio Castagnoli’s next challenger for the ROH World Championship.
