According to Fightful Select, A WWE talent said that AEW star MJF told them – “I’m looking forward to being there in 2024.” The talent further noted to Fightful Select that while MJF wanted them to think he was serious, they took his comments with a grain of salt. It was also said by Fightful Select MJF making those comments has also made its way to other WWE talents.
The report goes on to say that a WWE source said the company “obviously” has been and would be interested in MJF, if and when he becomes available. However, many don’t know the exact date of when his AEW contract is actually up. There has been others though that have said they heard from MJF that he already signed an extension with AEW leading up to the All Out pay-per-view last September.
MJF has made references on AEW programming about his contracting expiring in 2024 and naming dropping Triple H and Nick Khan in the process, calling it the “great bidding war of 2024.”
MJF is is set to defend the AEW World Championship in a 60-Minute Iron Man Match at Sunday’s Revolution PPV taking place live from the Chase Center in San Fransisco, CA.
