According to Fightful Select, changes were made to Monday’s WWE Raw and this past weekend’s WrestleMania 39.
Fightful Select specifically noted that it could be confirmed of the changes made were done by Vince McMahon.
Below are backstage news and notes from WWE Raw and WrestleMania.
-It had been reported several weeks back that there was a pitch for a WrestleMania segment with LA Knight and Bobby Lashley. This was still planned going into WrestleMania 39. However this did not take place. It was further said that Lashley making an appearance at WrestleMania 39 with the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy was originally scheduled to have featured LA. Knight in some capacity
-Shotzi’s tank was brought to SoFi Stadium to be used, but ended up not being used.
-There was a planned LWO segment with Bad Bunny booked for Raw, but it was scrapped for reasons unknown. There were also plans for a segment on Raw where Cody Rhodes was going to be been on the phone with someone, which may have been his mystery partner for the main event.
-Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn vs. The Street Profits was listed internally as a title match
-A mini-tournament to crown a new No. 1 contender to Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair was to be held with Liv Morgan vs. Dakota Kai vs. Piper Niven and Candice LeRae vs. Raquel Rodriguez vs. IYO SKY. It was scrapped an hour before the show went on the air. WWE went with Liv and Raquel defeated Kai and SKY to earn a future opportunity at the Women’s Tag Team Champions Lita and Becky Lynch on next week’s show.
-There has been a lot of online speculation that Seth Rollins’ in-ring segment was being changed while it was happening, based on video clips from fans on Twitter. Fightful Select noted the word within WWE, is the segment was scripted how it appeared on the show.
