During Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, it was announced that Shinsuke Nakamura will return to the show next week.
Nakamura was last seen on WWE programming back on the November 11, 2022 episode of SmackDown, where he lost to Santos Escobar in the first round of the SmackDown World Cup. His most recent WWE appearance was at the January 22, 2023 house show event, where he teamed up with Braun Strowman and Madcap Moss to defeat Imperium.
Also announced for next week’s SmackDown is LA Knight vs. Xavier Woods. This match was set up during Friday night’s show in a backstage angle where LA Knight mocked Woods for playing video games. Woods challenged LA Knight to another match. LA then smashed the controller of Woods’ PlayStation 5 video game console.
Next week’s WWE SmackDown will take place live from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska.
