According to Fightful Select, WWE has moved away from doing any additional talent signings after Vince McMahon returned and helped to negotiate a sale of WWE, which is now the new merger with UFC’s parent company Endeavor.
Fightful Select notes this became an “unofficial hiring freeze.” It was said this is the reason that big names such as Jay White, Tama Tonga, Brian Cage, just to name a few were never signed and not followed up on.
