According to a report from Fightful Select, CM Punk is ready to return to AEW. It has been said that he has pitched numerous scenarios that could bring him back into the company.
Punk reportedly has said he is willing to bury the hatchet so to speak with The Elite and work with them in some type of type of feud.
However, Fight Select notes that at least as of a few months ago, Kenny Omega Omega and the Young Bucks did not seem interested in working with Punk.
Punk also reportedly has expressed willingness to be completely separate from The Elite in AEW, such as working on the new rumored Saturday show, Rampage or being moved over ROH.
Fightful Select further notes it is being said that none of this has been confirmed by the higher-ups in AEW.
Punk has been suspended since last September, following the backstage altercation with The Elite at the All Out Media scrum. There had been talk about Tony Khan buying out Punk’s contract.
Dax Harwood has been pushing the idea of Punk and FTR vs. The Elite for the All In: London PPV at Wembley on August 27.
