Hot off the heels of winning the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship alongside Shayna Baszler on the 5/29 edition of RAW, Ronda Rousey spoke with the New York Post to address the state of the women’s division, especially as it pertains to tag teams.
Calling the division “dismally shallow,” Ronda’s biggest concern seems to be a lack of competition, saying:
“There’s not enough women around here to keep us busy for a month. And so that’s the biggest challenge that we have is to get [WWE] to actually care and invest into this tag division.”
Rousey and Baszler defeated three other teams to win the vacant titles on Monday, getting the better of Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi, the Damage CTRL team of Bayley and Iyo Sky, and Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green.
