Longtime promoter and talent agent Rick Bassman was at WWE Headquarters on Thursday. PWInsider confirmed Bassman’s visit. However, there is no word on if he was just visiting or if he was there on business.
Bassman posted a picture on Instagram of himself with Chariman Vince McMahon at WWE’s Headquarters. Bassman is a longtime friend and colleague of McMahon.
Bassman best known for breaking in Sting and The Ultimate Warrior into the pro wrestling business. He was also a ring announcer for Herb Abrams’s Universal Wrestling Federation and also owned and operated Ultimate Pro Wrestling from 1999 through 2007. He also was responsible for promoting then future stars of WWE such John Cena, Jon Heidenreich and Chris Masters. Bassman has also been a promoter of concert events in Santa Barbara, CA during the 1980’s for The Clash, The B-52s, The Go-Gos, and Talking Heads.
