Unification Match moved to next Friday night’s WWE SmackDown, current lineup

The WWE and NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship Unification Match has been moved to next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. The match had been advertised as taking place on this week’s show. However, it was not mentioned during Friday night’s show. It was towards the end of the show that WWE announced it would now take place next week. As of this writing, there is no word on why the match was rescheduled.

Also two new matches have been made official for next week’s show.

Baron Corbin and Cameron Grimes with square off in a one-on-one matchup. Grimes was attacked by Corbin during a backstage interview, thus setting up this new match for next week. Corbin will challenge Carmelo Hayes for the NXT Championship on the June 27 episode of NXT.

Bayley will put her Money in the Bank Ladder Match spot on the line against Shotzi. If Shotzi wins, she will replace Bayley in the match, which takes place on July 1 at the MITB PLE, live from London, England.

During Friday night’s SmackDown, IYO SKY accepted the match on Bayley’s behalf as revenge for Bayley’s actions earlier in the evening which inadvertently cost IYO her singles match against Zelina Vega. Bayley said that IYO’s loss was just a misunderstanding. Shotzi said she would go to Adam Pearce to make it official.

Next Friday night’s WWE SmackDown will emanate from the Cajundome in Lafayette, LA.
