Vince McMahon reportedly makes a lot of changes to SmackDown, leaving several talent frustrated

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon reportedly made “significant changes” to Friday night’s episode of SmackDown.

It was noted the changes were said to be so drastic that one person backstage reportedly asked, “Did Smackdown get Vinced?” Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful confirmed this on Friday by Tweeting out “Smackdown got Vinced tonight. A lot of changes.”

Fightful Select further noted the following:

WWE had promoted multiple matches ahead of Friday night’s show that were either adjusted or out cut from the card, said to be leaving a lot of the talent frustrated. One match that was affected was the Triple Threat Match between LA Knight, Santos Escobar, and Butch. This match was promoted earlier on Friday. However it was scrapped to just Knight vs. Rey, who lost in clean win by Knight. Additionally, the planned match between Bayley and Shotzi for Bayley’s spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, which was set up last week in a backstage segment and promoted as part of Friday night’s show, was cut from the show entirely. It did not happen as planned and was not even mentioned during Friday night. The match seemed to have been replaced with Lacey Evans vs. Charlotte Flair.
