Backstage news on what WBD would consider as a ratings success for AEW Collision

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Warner Bros Discovery is reportedly much more interested in where AEW Collision ranks rather than what the total number of viewers.

AEW Dynamite has been consistent at ranking high on Wednesday nights. It is said that WBD expects Collision to perform the same. Fightful Select said sources told them WBD does expect Collision’s ratings to be down in the fall when cable a network television stations begin airing college football.

Fightful Select concluded the report by saying in this scenario, WBD is hoping that Collision lands in at least the top 5 on cable.

Collision’s premiere episode on June 17 drew 816,000 viewers with a 0.33 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. The second episode then dropped to 595,000 viewers with a 0.21 rating. The third episode, which was taped, drew 452,000 viewers with a 0.13 rating.

With the recent closure of showbuzzdaily.com, Wrestleview and other media outlets will have to rely on other sources, such as Wrestlenomics for cable ratings.

Tell us in the comments section below your thoughts on Collision’s ratings for the last three episodes. What would you consider as a ratings success for Collision.
