Former WWE star Mike ‘Mantaur’ Halac has passed away

Mike Halac, better known to wrestling fans as ‘Mantaur’, passed away on Tuesday at age 55.

According to F4WOnline and PWInsider, Halac’s daughter announcened on social media that her father passed away in his sleep.

As of this writing, the cause of death has not been reported.

Halac began his professional wrestling career in the early 1990’s. Halac also wrestled as Bruiser Mastino until he signed with WWF/E in 1994. He then adopted the half-man, half-bull gimmick under the in-ring name of ‘Mantaur’. He entered the 1995 Royal Rumble and had matches on TV with Bret Hart and Razor Ramon.

He left the WWF/E in the summer of 1995 and then made brief appearances in ECW under the in-ring name of Mastino.

Halac was part of The Truth Commission as Tank in the USWA. He is also a former USWA Unified World Heavyweight Champion in Memphis.

In 2019, Halac participated in the Clusterf— battle royal at Joey Janela’s Spring Break event.
