During the San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed John Cena as Peacemaker is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 as a playable character. Peacemaker is part of the Kombat Pack Roster.
It was further said that in addition to Peacemaker, Homelander and Omni-Man are also coming to Mortal Kombat 1 in the Kombat Pack Roster, alongside Quan Chi, Ermac and Takeda.

Cena played the Peacemaker character in The Suicide Squad film, which was released in theaters in 2021. The film role then became a TV show which aired last year on HBO Max (now Max). James Gunn, head of DC Films said during an interview last month on Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, that Peacemaker will return right after the newest Superman movie, which is currently scheduled for release on July 25, 2025.
Cena recently returned to WWE programming at Money in the Bank at The O2 Arena on July 1 in London, as he hyped up the fans for WWE possibly bringing WrestleMania to the United Kingdom.
