Matt Cardona, at the most recent DDT Pro Wrestling event in Japan, came out to the ring wearing one of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship belts.
As of late, Cardona has been calling himself one-half of one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, referring to his marriage to Chelsea Green, who holds the Tag Titles with with Sonya Deville.
Cardona did not leave the event with just one of the WWE Women’s Tag Title Belts, he also left with the DDT Pro Universal Championship Belt. With some help during the match from Steph De Lander (former NXT Superstar Persia Pirotta), Cardona went on to defeat Tetsuya Endo to become the new DDT Pro Universal Champion.
Before Cardona left the ring with his newly one title, he had a new challenger come in and confront him – Maki Itoh. She has currently been feuding with both Cardona and De Lander in Game Change Wrestling, alongside former GCW World Champion Nick Gage.
