In the main event of Saturday night’s AEW Collision, FTR retained the World Tag Team Titles over Adam Cole and AEW World Champion MJF, after Dax Harwood pinned MJF. Following the loss, MJF and Cole were in disbelief, with MJF very upset. Cole then shook hands with FTR.
MJF, who was in the corner said that he blew it. Cole then encouraged MJF, telling him they blew it. Cole then handed MJF the World title belt, reminding him that he is the AEW World Champion. They teased at one point post-match, MJF possibly turning on Cole, while also giving the impression to some that Cole could maybe turn on MJF. Cole and MJF then had hugged several times in the ring with MJF hyping up the fans as the show went off the air.
After the show went off the air at the XL Center in Hartford, CT, MJF cut a promo about FTR’s time as members of the now defunct Pinnacle faction. He told the World Tag Team Champs that things did not go the way they should have with the group, because he was too arrogant at the time to realize how good FTR is.
