Tony Khan confirms backstage altercation took place at All In, is currently being investigated

During the AEW All In London Media Scrum, CEO, President and General Manager Tony Khan confirmed a backstage incident took place at the pay-per-view. Khan said that he could not comment on the situation. He did say, however, that it is being investigated.

Khan said the following:

“I can’t comment on it at this time beyond what I’m about to say. Yes, there was an incident backstage before we went live on tonight’s show. We are investigating it, and until I learn more about what happened, I can’t comment on it at this time, but I did want to be honest with you and tell you that that is the case.”

Soon after the main card for All In London began, reports surfaced of a backstage physical altercation between CM Punk and Jack Perry. Several sources indicated that Perry took a shot at Punk during the FTW Title Match with Hook over Punk objecting to a spot at a past episode of Collision in which Perry wanted to use real glass.

After the match, backstage, Perry and Punk came across each other.  The story that later made the rounds is that Perry confronted Punk, leading into a shoving match between the two. The version that became most shared is that Perry was caught in a choke hold by Punk and then was told to leave Wembley Stadium, while Punk still remained backstage.

During the FTW Title Match on the All In Zero Hour pre-show, Perry pointed to the glass on the car and screamed that it was real glass and then said “cry me a river” before doing the spot where he ended up getting suplexed through the glass.
