AEW’s Tony Khan announces new PPV, confirms Full Gear date and location

AEW CEO, President and General Manager Tony Khan announced that AEW will hold a new pay-per-view on Sunday, October 1 at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, WA.

Khan made the announcement during the All In London Media Scrum on Sunday.

The first-ever AEW WrestleDream PPV event will be held in honor of the first anniversary of the passing of “wrestling’s greatest dreamer” Antonio Inoki.  Khan said that he is hopeful it will have a lot of New Japan Pro Wrestling talent, though there has not been any discussion NJPW as of yet.

Khan also confirmed the 2023 Full Gear pay-per-view will take place Saturday, November 18, live from the KIA Forum in Inglewood, California just outside of Los Angeles. Khan did not indicate how this would affect the scheduled AEW Collision episode which is scheduled for that evening.

There has been recently reports that AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery has been looking at an expanded AEW pay-per-view schedule.
