Backstage WWE news on planned match canceled from Raw

According to several media outlets, including Fightful Select, Becky Lynch was reportedly scheduled to defend the NXT Women’s Championship on Monday’s WWE Raw.

Per Fightful Select’s report, Lynch pushed for Nox to get the match on Monday night’s Raw. However, those plans were said to have changed about 10 minutes before fans were in the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. The report also notes that Lynch and Nox already had the match all scripted out and that the match was going to be produced by Tyson Kidd. Fightful Select furthermore notes there is high hopes that Lynch’s “Open Challenge” will continue.

Fightful Select concluded by saying the reason for the change was that Natalya was given heavy praise by WWE for her double duty at the Superstar Spectacle event in India back on September 8. Natalya stepped up and took the place of Lynch who was set to face Zoey Stark, as it had been revealed that Lynch could not travel to India due a slight tear in her passport. Natalya also, later in the night on the show, challenged Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley that same night.
