Jim Ross says he is ‘positive and optimistic’ about AEW contract negotiations

On a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross addressed his contract situation with AEW, saying he has been in talks with Tony Khan.

“Tony Khan has answered a lot of my prayers and I hope to continue working for AEW for the foreseeable future. That’s our goal, that’s Tony’s goal, that’s my goal. Tony and I had a nice chat about my contract last week at TV. Things are moving along well in that regard.”

Ross went on to say he is being ‘positive and optimistic’ about the situation, expressing his excitement to keep working for AEW by calling it the ‘best scenario for me that I can imagine.’

Ross originally signed a three-year contract with AEW in April 2019, signing an 18-month extension last May.
