Shane McMahon making ‘phenomenal progress’ in recovery from torn quad

In an interview with the Developmentally Speaking podcast, Declan McMahon gave an update on his father Shane following a quad injury at WrestleMania 39.

Declan said Shane was making “phenomenal progression” in his rehabilitation, stating:

“His rehab’s going very, very well. He’s gotten back to like jogging. He’s squatting. He’s starting to work out again….He’s making phenomenal progress. The doctor said all the time that he’s healing quicker than they thought and, you know, when he tore it, he completely tore his quad tendon. So that’s a very long, hard recovery, but he’s been crushing rehab. He’s been doing his thing. He’ll hopefully get back soon.”

The injury occurred shortly after Shane’s match against The Miz began, leading to an improvised moment by Snoop Dogg who stepped in on Shane’s behalf, defeating Miz to win the match and end the segment.

Declan attends Indiana University and is a part of their football team as a walk-on, but has said in the past that a potential WWE career is something he’s never going to rule out.
