FOX8 in North Carolina is reporting that former WCW star Evan Karagias was arrested for assault early Wednesday morning in Gaston County, according to jail records.
Karagias, 49, was arrested by Belmont Police at 1:42 am local time on November 1, per the the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office. Karagias was charged with simple assault and injury to personal property.
The report also notes that Karagias posted his $25,000 secured bond.
Karagias performed in WCW from 1997 to 2001. He was best known for being part of 3 Count, along with Shane Helms and Shannon Moore. Karagias is also a former WCW Cruiserweight Champion.
After his WCW career ended, he spent time on independent scene and appeared in roughly a dozen movies and TV shows.
