Kairi Sane made her official return to WWE at Saturday’s Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
Below is an excerpt from Roy Nemer’s WWE Crown Jewel recap of how Sane’s return came about, which was during the WWE Women’s Championship match between IYO SKY and Bianca Belair.
IYO runs towards Bianca but she moves out of the way and IYO accidentally hits Bayley. Bianca throws IYO into the barricade. She throws IYO into the ring. Bayley grabs Bianca by the leg but Bianca with a right hand. The referee is distracted. Bianca goes for the KOD but Kairi Sane shows up and hits Bianca with a right hand! Sane throws Bianca into the ring post and the referee is still distracted. The referee counts to nine as Bianca rolls into the ring. IYO hits her with a moonsault. She goes for the cover and gets the pin.
Michael Cole noted on commentary that the last time fans saw Sane in WWE, she was given a beatdown by Bayley.
As previously reported, Kairi Sane was expected to make her return at Crown Jewel and had been added to WWE’s internal roster this past week.
Sane was part of the NXT brand before she was called up to the main roster, where she was part of the Kabuki Warriors with Asuka. Sane initially left WWE back in December 2021 after her contract expired. After leaving WWE, Sane spent time in Stardom and New Japan Pro Wrestling.
