Report on early buyrate estimate for AEW Full Gear PPV

According to F4WOnline, AEW Full Gear is trending to have done better with pay-per-view buys than October’s WrestleDream.

F4WOnline’s Dave Meltzer says that depending on late buys, Full Gear is tracking as of now, to do between 122,000 and 140,000 buys.  It was also noted that the cable and satellite PPV numbers are currently incomplete due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

The report also notes that while Full Gear has received an overall favorable reaction, it was not the kind of “show of the year” buzz which has driven late PPV buys in the past for AEW. However, furthermore there was said to have been a lot of talk after the show regarding the Swerve Strickland vs. Hangman Page, and MJF vs. Jay White matches which could possibly impact late buys.

The report concluded by noting that as of now, last month’s WrestleDream is estimated to have done 110,000 buys. Estimates from September had the All In buys tracking between 180,000 and 196,000 and All Out between 73,000 and 96,000.
