Report: Top WWE female star signs new deal, said to be a “huge money increase”

According to Fightful Select, Charlotte Flair has reportedly agreed to a new contract extension.

It was also said the new deal between Flair and WWE was agreed upon before Dominik and Rey Mysterio re-signed and that this is one of the first extensions since Endeavor took over as the majority owner back in early September, which was all part of the UFC-WWE merger, to form TKO Group Holdings.

Fightful Select further notes that Flair received a “huge money increase” and that this is “one of the highest-paid deals to a woman in WWE history”. There was no further information as it pertains to the terms of the contract, such as length and exactly how much Flair will be paid under the new deal.

Flair suffered a torn ACL, a torn meniscus and a torn MCL when she fell from the top rope during her match with Asuka at the special Tribute to the Troops episode of SmackDown, back on December 8.

In addition, the belief is, although still not confirmed, Flair also suffered a strain neck in the fall as well.

The commentary team announced during last Friday night’s WWE SmackDown that Flair will be out of action for 9 months.
