Top WWE Superstar reportedly injured, could be out 4 to 6 months

According PWInsider, the publication has confirmed that CM Punk suffered a torn triceps during the Men’s Royal Rumble Match this past Saturday.

This has also been confirmed by F4WOnline.

PWInsider also notes that Punk is believed to be heading towards surgery after he appears on tonight’s WWE Raw.

Furthermore, PWInsider states the belief among sources they have spoken with, is that post-surgery, Punk would likely need around 4 to 6 months of recovery time, which also includes physical therapy.

This injury would essentially take him out of the WrestleMania plans WWE had for him with Seth Rollins.

PWInsider, in their review of the match shows Punk may have been injured after taking a DDT from Drew McIntyre.  Punk then rolled out of the ring holding his left arm following that spot.

Punk previously suffered torn triceps in his right arm during the AEW title match against Jon Moxley at All Out 2022. Punk was out of action for nine months following that injury.
