WWE has posted a video of what happened with The Rock and Roman Reigns after Friday night’s SmackDown went off the air.
Just moments after the show went off the air, The Rock and Roman Reigns had a stare down in the ring, before Reigns turned on The Rock and left. The Rock would then address the fans before leaving the ring.
Roman Reigns will be defending the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against The Rock at WrestleMania 40.
The Rock made a surprise appearance on Friday’s episode in a segment where Cody Rhodes had announced that he was coming after the Universal Championship, but not at this year’s WrestleMania.
Rhodes said during the segment that he had consulted with friends, family, and legends in making his decision. He then went on to say he consulted with someone that Reigns knows well. This is when The Rock came out, shook hands with Rhodes, as the two had a brief talk before Rhodes made his exit from the ring.
