Report: Ari Emanuel And Mark Shapiro requested Vince McMahon resign from TKO

According to The Hollywood Reporter, TKO CEO Ari Emanuel and TKO President and COO Mark Shapiro called Vince McMahon and told him it would be in the best interest of WWE, TKO for him to tenure his resignation.

McMahon’s resignation came the day after news broke of a sex trafficking and sexual assault lawsuit which had been filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against WWE, Vince McMahon and former WWE Executive John Laurainitis.

The lawsuit led to one of WWE’s biggest long-time promotional partners in Slim Jim putting a pause on working with WWE, just one day before the Royal Rumble.

The next day after it had been confirmed McMahon was gone, just several hours ahead of the Royal Rumble, Slim Jim announced it would resume it’s partnership with WWE.

McMahon denies the allegations and has said he will do what it takes to clear his name.

The lawsuit also names a former UFC Heavyweight Champion who was later identified by the Wall Street Journal as Brock Lesnar.

All content related to Lesnar in the WWE 2K Supercard has been removed. It has also been reported that Lesnar is “off the table” from all creative pitches within WWE.

WWEShop has nearly all of Lesnar’s merchandise on discount.
