Following the announcement that Moana 2 was in the works at Disney, Deadline has reported that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in talks to reprise his iconic role as Maui.
The project was initially conceived as a Disney+ series, but the studio has since made the decision to turn it into a theatrical sequel, currently slated for November 27, 2024.
Previously announced was a live-action version Moana film, in which Johnson was slated to star and produce under Seven Bucks Productions.
