During a recent earnings call, TKO Group’s CFO addressed the situation involving the media rights to WWE RAW.
The show, which will be moving to Netflix in January 2025 as part of a major media rights deal, is set to end its run on USA Network in October 2024.
In regards to where the flagship show of WWE will air for the three months leading to its move to Netflix, Andrew Schleimer stated:
“We also intend to renew our license or find an alternate provider to carry Raw in the U.S. for the 90-day period from October 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024 before it moves to Netflix as described below. These domestic licenses together account for a very significant portion of our media segment revenues and profitability. No assurances can be provided as to the outcome of these negotiations and, if we are unable to renew existing agreements or find alternative streaming or distribution partners, our results of operations could be adversely impacted.”
Schleimer went on to say he believes RAW will be aired in the fourth quarter, with TKO President Mark Shapiro adding that they intend to get on the best platform for the brand.
